Authentication

Create an API key from Channel → Settings → API Key. Send the channel access token as a bearer token:

Authorization: Bearer YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN

The authenticated channel becomes the actor for the request. Invalid or expired credentials, deleted channels, and inactive channels return 401 Unauthorized.

Never expose a Connect API access token in browser code.
